Hospitality Marketing for Ontario Resorts, Inns, Restaurants, and Tour Operators
Most hospitality operators don't have time to keep up with their website, send their email newsletters, optimize their Google listing, and respond to reviews, all while running a busy season. I will do that work for you, so you can focus on guests.
Why Hospitality and Tourism is Different
Resorts, inns, restaurants, and tour operators operate on cycles that most marketing agencies don’t understand. Your busy season is short. Your shoulder seasons require direct demand, not just OTA bookings. Your Google Business Profile is viewed every weekend. Your email list is one of your most valuable assets, yet most properties barely use it.
After more than a decade of working with Ontario hospitality clients, including a long-standing partnership with a resort, I know how the work actually flows. Content needs to land before the booking window opens. Email campaigns need to be timed for shoulder seasons. Review responses need to be sent within 48 hours, every time. Direct booking content has to compete with Booking.com and Expedia on your own terms.
That’s the work I do. Not generic small-business marketing applied to a hospitality client. Hospitality marketing is built around how your business actually runs.
What I Do for Hospitality Clients
-
Website content for seasonal businesses

Google Business Profile for Hospitality
Photos, hours, posts, Q&A, and review responses are handled monthly. The most underused free marketing channel in hospitality.
-
SEO that supports direct bookings
On-page SEO, local SEO, and content that captures travellers before they hit the OTAs.
-
Email marketing for the booking cycle
Newsletters and seasonal campaigns timed to your booking windows. Your email list is the one audience you actually own.
-
Analytics and monthly reporting
Plain-language monthly reports pulling from Google Analytics and your property management system.
-
Content for resorts, inns, restaurants, and tour operators
Blog posts, landing pages, and seasonal campaigns written for Ontario travellers and hospitality audiences.
Is your business showing up when people ask AI?
ChatGPT, Google's AI, and tools like Perplexity are changing how people find local services. Most small businesses aren't visible yet. I can help you get found before your competitors.

Featured Client
I’ve been the marketing partner to a heritage Ontario resort for over ten years, handling their digital presence: website management, blog content, email campaigns, Mews PMS analytics, GA4 reporting, social media support, Meta Ads, and Google Business Profile optimization.
Their property has been welcoming guests for over 75 years, and the marketing has to honour that heritage while reaching modern travellers who search online and keeping up with advancing technology.

Hospitality Marketing FAQ
Do you work with seasonal businesses?
Yes. Most of my hospitality clients are seasonal or have strong seasonal swings, and I plan their marketing around their booking windows. Content lands ahead of the season, email campaigns time with shoulder periods, and slower months get reinvested into SEO and content for the next cycle.
Can you work with my PMS or booking system?
I have direct experience with Mews and can pull operational reporting from most modern PMS platforms. If you're on something different, I can either integrate with it or work alongside your in-house team to surface the metrics that matter.
Do you handle OTA listings?
I help with content and brand consistency on Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb, and similar platforms, but I'm not an OTA channel manager. My focus is on driving more direct bookings so you depend less on OTAs over time, not on optimizing the OTA channel itself.
What does onboarding look like for a hospitality client?
Every retainer starts with a one-time onboarding and audit: Google Business Profile setup or optimization, a baseline SEO audit, GA4 configuration, a citation check across hospitality and tourism directories, and a 30-minute kickoff call. From there, monthly work begins immediately.
I'm a small restaurant, not a resort. Is this still relevant?
Yes. The cycles are different, but the work is the same: keeping your website current, managing your Google Business Profile (which is essential for restaurants), running email campaigns for promotions and events, and responding to reviews. I work with restaurants and cafés the same way I work with resorts.
How quickly will I see results?
Local SEO improvements, such as Google Business Profile optimization, typically show within 4 to 8 weeks. SEO from blog content and on-page work builds over 3 to 6 months. Email and review response work usually shows a measurable impact within the first booking cycle.
