Yoga Your Way Weekend
Each Yoga Your Way guest was welcomed with a a doTERRA Canada lavender essential oil sample upon check-in. ‘Lavender is often considered a must-have oil to keep on hand at all times due to its versatile uses, including calming and relaxing properties that promote peaceful sleep and ease feelings of tension. Friday night’s Yoga Bliss class was a gentle grounding and restorative practice to release the tension of the week.
Leading the spirit of the weekend is yoga instructor, Catharine Tombs who grew up in the Kawartha Lakes region. Catharine holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Guelph and a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Western Ontario. She completed her 200 hours of yoga teacher training in 2013 and 500 hours of training in 2017.
Before breakfast on Saturday, our guests enjoyed wild orange and lavender infused shortbread cookies, before an Energizing Flow Yoga & Meditation class.
Each of our #YogaYourWay guests received a $50 Spa credit with their stay. Martina Linde and esthetician Jewel were were in their element for the weekend, connecting with the guests. The ‘I Can Feel the Earth Move’ pedicure and ‘Free Spirit’ manicure were favourite choices.
On Saturday afternoon, Chef Malcolm Dobson and Culinary & Service Team Leader, Jay Nutt gave our #YogaYourWay guests some tips and new ideas for vegan cooking.
The tasty treats included Vegan pulled pork with Jack fruit, local Craft Belly of the Beast Kombucha, and microgreens from Tiny Greens (both from Peterborough) and vegan & gluten-free chick pea meringue ‘Aqua faba’. Watch the video below for some highlights!
Catherine led the Saturday evening Yoga and Meditation class toward providing a quiet release after an active day.
Everyone bundled up to head outside for a gorgeous winter’s night bonfire and release ceremony under the stars. The final Yoga and Meditation class on Sunday morning was followed by a delicious Sunday Brunch.
Our #YogaYourWay guests are left us feeling rejuvenated in mind, body and soul.
Thank you to all who participated and to our Yoga Instructor, Catharine Tombs. Please join us next year-
